Copyrighting is an integral part of any marketing campaign. For your message to get through, you need to identify your target market (who), introduce them to the product (what), tell them where they can get the product (where), and tell them when the product will be available (when). It seems simple at first, however, each one of these aspects can be broken down into sub-criteria that need to be fulfilled. For instance, discovering who your target market does not just end with identifying an age group or financial bracket. You will need to break it down further by discovering the likes and dislikes of your target group. Market research plays a vital role in this arena. Targetting a group of individuals with cleverly composed questions can often give you an insight into how that particular segment of the population thinks and how best to approach them with new concepts and products. Once you have established who you are dealing with you will need to decide how to best introduce the product to them. Your market research should give you a very in depth insight on how to do this. You will not approach a young adult market the same way you would approach a teen market. If you want to sell your product you will need t innovative and clever. You cannot re-use the same ideas over and over again. The general public is smarter than you think. Once you have ascertained who your market is and how to reach them, it is a case of giving over to your creative ability to write the slogan that will change minds and hopefully bring your client some business.
